Dear Backers, 

We are putting on the final touches. Currently, we are finishing our last characters that were provided by the Hero level supporters.  We are so happy to have collaborated with them for some great story additions.  This has been a journey to do the research and find unique stories to bring to life. 

We are on track to start printing as expected in July and ship the first copies. We are looking forward to hearing your feedbacks and will notify you all once we begin shipping. 

If you haven't yet filled in the fulfillment survey please check your emails as this is important to get you your copy. 

In the meantime, we hope you will enjoy a sneak peak of the update book cover.

WE SURPASSED A 100 BACKERS!

Honestly, when we started this project, we just wanted to tell great stories that were powerful and inspiring. We hoped to just get to 1000 dollars and that a few kids and adults might also be interested in black history beyond slavery and the Civil Rights Movement like we are. We have been pleasantly surprised! The support of people of all types and races has been the most inspiring thing we have seen in a while. 

On the other hand, it has shown me that there is still so much work to do. We have had people send not-so-nice messages and write racist things on our Facebook page and in our personal DMs, just because we wanted to tell these stories. THIS MAKES US WANT TO WORK HARDER AND TO TELL THEM EVEN MORE!

In life, there will be people that stand in the way of progress. There will be obstacles. But if you find a passion that benefits others and truly want to make it happen. DO IT! 

Don't feed into the negativity and focus on the positive that is out there. Use it as your wind pushing you to bring into the world the things you want to see. We know we are!

Your support and sharing with others has made this campaign successful! There are two weeks left and this grassroots push will continue. We look forward to bringing you the most interesting and exciting book possible. Without you, none of this is possible!

More than 100% funded on day 1!

Hi Everyone! 

John & Deandra here. As we sit here trying to craft the perfect thank you message to the supporters of Untold Heroes, it is difficult to express the amazement we feel. 

You are helping to bring amazing stories to life!

You are a part of building something great this Black History Month, sharing little known stories that should and now will be told. We still have a month to go but are already excited and getting things ready to bring you the best first editions of Untold Heroes.
